形态特征:婴栗科绿绒篙属一年生草本植物,高30-45厘米,全株被黄褐色或淡黄色坚硬而平展的刺。基生叶密集成簇莲座状,叶片倒披针形或近匙形,长5-12厘米,宽1-3厘米,全缘或波状,茎生叶互生,较小。6-7月开花,总状花序具4-8朵花,生于茎端,最上部的花下无苞片。花大,半下垂,直径4-6厘米;花瓣5-8,蓝紫色或深蓝色,宽倒卵形,长2-3厘米,宽2-2.5厘米。蒴果倒卵形或椭圆状长圆形,长2-3厘米,被锈色或黄褐色平展或反曲的刺。
生境分布:生于海拔3300-5300米的草坡或岩坡上。分布于西藏、云南、四川、青海和甘肃。
用途:全草消炎,止骨痛,治头痛、骨折。
