The palaeokarst landform in west Lungu region was restored by using seismic horizon flattening technique.
以塔里木盆地轮古西地区为例,通过地震层拉平技术恢复了该区的古岩溶地貌,发现研究区岩溶地貌起伏变化很大,自东向西依次发育峰丛洼地、峰林谷地和峰林平原地貌组合。

岩溶盆地
是大型溶蚀洼地，又名坡立谷，这一词来源于南斯拉夫，意即溶蚀平原。常生成在地壳运动长期相对稳定的地区，代表岩溶发育的后期阶段，多在热带气候条件下形成。一般面积较大，长达数十至百余公里。底部平坦，有地表河流通过，堆积有冲积、坡积及溶蚀残余的各类沉积物。四壁一般被峰林包围，而谷内峰林稀疏或只有孤峰和溶丘。波立谷延长方向多与构造线一致，如沿断裂带、不同岩层的接触面，向斜及其他构造洼地都能形成岩溶盆地。我国广西东部溶蚀平原较多，它是岩溶地区的主要农业区。
