| 穹隆 dome 一种特殊形态的褶皱，平面上地层呈近同心圆状分布，核部出露较老的地层，向外依次变新，岩层从顶部向四周倾斜。大的穹隆直径可达几十千米，小的穹隆直径只有数米。大型穹隆一般发育在稳定的克拉通地区或造山带的前陆地区。穹隆的成因很多，最常见的是与岩浆或岩盐底辟作用（见底辟构造）有关的穹隆。由于岩浆或岩盐等粘性流体的上涌，使上覆岩层呈穹形隆起而形成穹隆。在一些变形微弱而又没有底辟作用的克拉通地区，穹隆常被解释为沉积物在成岩过程中差异压实作用的结果。穹隆是有利的储油构造，对其平面轮廓和最高点的研究有重要的实际意义。 |
