Spatial and temporal changes in vegetation patterns of the Yinma River Basin were reconstructed using analysis of modern pollen vegetation type relationships and a pollen core.

饮马池位于汉中市城内东南隅，面积6358平方米，相传为西汉刘邦驻军汉中的饮马池。 池内砖墙中嵌有清代石刻“神龙能作苍生雨，饮马常怀赤帝风”，字迹苍劲有力。池东南城角上，有清嘉庆时修建的“三台阁”，台阁倒影湖中，雄伟壮观，碧波荡漾，尤其月夜之时，碧澄池水与皎洁浩月交相辉映，景色多姿。
饮马池是汉中八景之一，据《汉中府志》载：位于汉中东关净明寺的东塔，每当太阳斜射，塔影映入池内，素有“东塔西影”之称。现在饮马池成为汉中重点文物保护单位之一，吸引着众多国内外游人。
