The progress of crystallization from amorphous state at different temperatures were researched by means of X-ray diffraction and scanning electronic microscope (SEM).

amorphous state
    固态物质原子的排列所具有的近程有序、长程无序的状态。对晶体,原子在空间按一定规律作周期性排列,是高度有序的结构,这种有序结构原则上不受空间区域的限制,故晶体的有序结构称为长程有序。具有长程有序特点的晶体,宏观上常表现为物理性质(力学的、热学的、电磁学的和光学的)随方向而变,称为各向异性,熔解时有一定的熔解温度并吸收熔解潜热。对液体,其分子在很小的范围内(线度与分子间距同一量级)和很短的时间内能像晶体一样作规则排列,但在较大范围内则是无序的,这称为近程有序。
   非晶态固体与液态一样具有近程有序而远程无序的结构特征。非晶态固体宏观上表现为各向同性,熔解时无明显的熔点,只是随温度的升高而逐渐软化,粘滞性减小,并逐渐过渡到液态。非晶态固体又称玻璃态,可看成是粘滞性很大的过冷液体。晶体的长程有序结构使其内能处于最低状态,而非晶态固体由于长程无序而使其内能并不处于最低状态,故非晶态固体是属于亚稳相,向晶态转化时会放出能量。常见的非晶态固体有高分子聚合物、氧化物玻璃、非晶态金属和非晶态半导体等。
