In order to restrain and uniform roll wear distribution,decrease wear peak and improve and eliminate the surface defects of work roll,the wear prediction model of work roll was developed for the 2 250 mm hot strip temper mill,and the shifting style,shifting step and shifting rhythm which were the main effective factors were studied and the improved work roll shifting strategy was developed.
