性质:黄色至浅褐色,微带灰色或浅蓝色的结晶或粉末。熔点126℃,沸点>360℃,微溶于水,溶于乙醇、乙醚、氯仿、苯和油类。

制备方法:以苯胺出发,重氮化后再与苯胺缩合经转位重排而得。向反应锅投入苯胺与亚硝酸钠溶液,在30-40℃下搅拌,在2.5-3h内加入30%盐酸,然后升温至50-55℃进行转位。

用途:染料中间体。用于合成偶氮染料,分散染料、噁嗪染料;还用于制油漆和颜料,以及醇溶黄和pH指示剂。
