概述
该车采用74式(6×6)卡车的底盘，上面装载1座压架设的桥梁，从驾驶室后进行架设。该桥能通过42吨级的各种车辆。架设需用两辆卡车，每辆卡车上装载分成两半部的1座跨桥，其中1辆还安装两根可伸缩的桥柱。架桥时装载桥柱的卡车先倒驶接近障碍地段，桥住与下半节桥末端固定，后者在动力油缸液压作用下向障碍伸去，与此同时两根桥柱随着落下。当下半节桥伸到全长时上半节桥也随之与其固定。随后动力油缸又将两节桥一起向前推出，直到全部展开。当上半节桥伸展到全长后两个半桥节下落，桥柱支靠在地面上。随着桥体下落，两个连在一起的半桥节的全部重量压在卡车尾部地面上，而桥梁中部的重量则落在各为1m正方的两个桥柱基座上。接着将1块跳板固定在桥车尾部，为第二辆卡车倒驶到桥上架设桥跨的第二部分做准备。第二辆架桥卡车的架桥过程与第一辆完全相同。一旦第二跨桥架好后，另外1块跳板便安装在桥的另一端。至此，桥完全架好。在重型车辆通过桥之前，必须对桥进行水平调整。如要架设更长的桥，可再增加桥节和桥柱。最长桥为60m。
