性质:为了提高憎液溶胶的稳定性,可向溶液中加入少量亲液胶体(大分子溶液)。这种亲液胶体能显著提高溶胶对电解质的稳定性,称其为保护作用。起保护作用的亲液胶体则称作保护胶体。因为这种保护作用是依靠大分子在胶体粒子的表面上形成有一定厚度的吸附层来提高胶体的稳定性,故又称为空间稳定性(steric stabili za-tion)。
