性质：利用多普勒效应和光外差技术来测量流速的仪表。当激光照射到流动中的粒子时，粒子散射光产生的多普勒频移与粒子运动速度成正比。特点是精度高，动态反应快，测量范围宽，线性好，方向灵敏性好，空间分辨率高，属不接触测量，对流场不破坏等。但要求介质有一定的透明度和含有适量的散射粒子，故使用上受到一定限制。适用于研究边界层和窄通道的流体流动性；测量风洞气流速度；火箭燃料的流速；飞行器喷射气流的流速；大气风速；化学反应中粒子的大小及汇聚速度；熔融玻璃聚合物等高黏度流体的缓慢运动等。
