采用美国地质调查局(USGS)的Visual Modflow软件,通过对荆江大堤荆沙市盐卡险段不同水位条件下以及在高水位下(10和13 m水头差)不同处理模式(存在天窗模式、改变人工填土渗透系数模式、减压井模式和防渗墙模式) 的模拟,结果表明:(1) 在高水位下,减小人工填土的渗透系数可明显减少渗透破坏。

| 荆江大堤 中国长江平堤之一，长江堤防最险要的堤段。位于荆江北岸，从荆沙市枣林岗起，至监利县城南止 ，全长182千米。始建于东晋永和年间，当时称全堤、万城堤。其后，五代十国时期修筑了江陵的寸金堤；宋代在江陵新筑黄潭堤和沙市长堤，增修寸金堤；明代在黄潭堤段用石块砌护外坡，是荆江大堤护岸工程的开始，嘉靖年间荆江大堤从堆金台到施茅埠长达124千米的堤段连成一线，形成整体 ；清代改民堤为官堤，并多次加固。中华人民共和国建立后，除增修和加固北岸的荆江大堤外，还在南岸开辟了分洪区（见荆江分洪工程）。
