中国清代军机处的档案保管制度。因军机处档册使用频繁，易磨损或丢失,乾隆时期特规定每5年修缮一次。后因汉文档案使用率增加，损坏较快，咸丰四年(1854)改为满文档每5年、汉文档每3年修缮一次，遂为定制。
修档包括两项内容：一是添修新档,即将5年中军机处所登抄录存的主要档簿，例如现月档(上谕档)、随手档、剿捕档、议覆档等，一律另修副本保存；二是修补旧档，即将历年翻阅磨损或受潮霉烂以及丢失的档案检查修补。
每届修档之期，由军机大臣奏请皇帝批准，成立承办修档的处所,名"办理军机清(汉)档案处",亦称"清(汉)档房"，档案修毕即撤。修档之期，由军机大臣总办其事，并派军机章京任提调官及收掌官，总理一切修档事宜。凡缮写满文档案，例由方略馆译汉官承担；汉文档案之抄录，咨调内阁中书担任，委派军机章京一人任校对。修档时由军机处奏定凡例,明确规格和办法,并立有定额，各缮写人员领取所办档籍时，须经详细登记，以便随时稽察和催办。特别是校对工作极为严谨，每份档案均经初校、复校、详校而后始定，以避免遗漏和舛误，并有登记以凭查核。其修就之正、副本档册，一存于宫内方略馆大库，一存于圆明园。
