性质:又称电极势,电极电位,电池单极电势或半电池电动势。构成电极的金属(或非金属)与溶液之间因发生电化学反应而产生的相间电势差。单个电极电势的绝对值迄今无法直接测定。以标准氢电极的相对平衡电势为零作参考点,得到氢的标准电极电势。将电极和标准氢电极组成电池,所测得的电池电动势即为该电极的电极电势。电极电势是反映电极反应趋势的参数,也是判定氧化还原反应能否进行的依据。
