The investigation and observation on the river bank protection forests in the view of their wind protection function improvement,evaporation,reducing and sediment discharge reducing showed that in the Yulin sandy area in northern Shaanxi,bank protection forests could reduce wind speed and water sutface evaporation,reduce sediment discharge and bank washing.
