| 无线寻呼 radio paging 无线电通信的一种特殊方式。由无线寻呼台（中心站）、若干移动寻呼接收机(俗称BP机)以及电话网构成，寻呼台与电话网相连通。是一种单向信号传输系统，主要用于主叫用户寻呼被叫(在移动中或在其他场所)用户。工作过程是：当主叫用户要呼叫在外的被叫用户时，可以利用普通电话机拨出被叫用户的号码，经电话网传到无线寻呼台，经调制到指定频率由天线发射出去；在这个寻呼台覆盖范围内的所有BP机都可以收到它所发射的信号，但只有与所叫号码相同的那个BP机才会产生响应，发出某种设计好的响声，同时显示出主叫号码，从而建立通信联系。无线寻呼提供人们在移动过程中建立通信联系的能力，给人们带来方便。因而受到欢迎。作为这种技术的改进，后又兴起了移动通信与个人通信的技术系统与业务。 |
