清代人物传记书。八十卷。不著撰稿人。卷目列宗室王公三卷﹐大臣划一传档正编二十二卷﹐大臣传次编十卷﹐大臣传续编九卷﹐大臣划一传档後编十二卷﹐新办大臣传五卷﹐已纂未进大臣传三卷﹐忠义传一卷﹐儒林传四卷﹐文苑传四卷﹐循吏传四卷﹐贰臣传二卷﹐逆臣传一卷。记录了自清开国功臣费英东﹑额亦都起﹐直至清末李鸿章等为止的二千八百九十四篇传记。其根据大体出自清国史馆《大臣列传稿本》﹑《满汉名臣传》和《国朝耆献类徵初编》。清代的传记书﹐就目前而言﹐当以《清史稿》和《清史列传》收录最为齐全。但《清史稿》的多数传记叙事简略﹐《清史列传》一般要详尽得多﹐在某些方面还可纠补《清实录》中的缺失。该书於1928年由中华书局印行。後经校点﹐分八册由中华书局再版。1987年﹐中华书局分二十册出版王锺翰点校本﹐是为最新版本。
