The coarse-fine nested Arakawa C grids are used to simulate the propagation processes of the Kelvin wave and the Rossby wave along the equator, the causes and reduction methods of the numerical oscillation and reflection generated at the grid boundaries are studied, and the reasonable and applicable nested Arakawa C grid scheme for the sophisticated ocean model is developed.
