广州市越秀公园
越秀公园是广州城市中心公园，是新世纪羊城八景之一，它与白云山联成广州城北的屏障。海拔70余米。历史上又称粤秀山、越王山。明朝永乐年间，山上曾建观音阁，所以又称观音山。越秀山早在西汉时期便是登临胜地。到了近代，孙中山先生曾提出，要把越秀山建成一座大公园。解放后，人民政府把设想变成了现实。
现在，越秀公园是广州市内大型的综合性文化休息公园。它由主峰越井岗及周围的桂花岗、木壳岗、鲤鱼岗等七个山岗和北秀、南秀、东秀三个人工湖组成。面积共86万平方米。绿化覆盖率达92%。它不仅保存了镇海楼、明古城墙、四方炮台、中山纪念碑等各个历史时期的遗迹和古树名木，还建设了五羊仙庭、成语寓言园、竹林幽闲区、植物观赏区、花卉馆、博物馆、美术馆、游乐场、游泳场、体育场、餐厅、小卖部和亭、台、楼、榭等休息、文体、景点和服务设施。公园园道四通八达，通往各游览、服务点。每年还举办大型的花事活动。公园每年接待中外游客达一千多万人次。
元朝以来，越秀山均被列为羊城佳景，近年被评比为广州市十佳旅游景点，镇海楼和五羊石像被列为广州市十大旅游美景。
