The Relation Between C_4 Pathway Enzymes and PSⅡ Photochemical Function in Soybean;

The results showed that the primary action of AAC-toxin was located in PSⅡ,and had multiple effects:(1) blocking electron transport between QA and QB at the acceptor side of PSⅡ;(2) Inactivating PSⅡ reaction centers;(3) Decreasing the yield of primary photochemistry;(4) Partially damaging(or migrating) the antennae of PSⅡ centr.

The results suggested that the photosystem Ⅰ(PSⅠ), photosystem Ⅱ(PSⅡ) and total electron transport activities, RuBP carboxylase (RuBPCase) and carbonic anhydrase (CA) activities in tobacco leaves decreased along with the maturation and senescence of tobacco leaves, especially the PSⅡ electron transport activity and RuBPCase initial activit.
