平原文昌阁位于恩城镇中学院内，建于 明成化十六年（1480年）。清康熙三十五年（ 1696年）、六十年（1721年）曾两次修葺， 10米见方的高台，周围用青砖扁砌，高3.5米 ，80厘米高的十字花砖垒花墙为正方形，座北 朝南，顶为木架结构的“阁”建于高台之上， 青瓦翘角，尖顶之上竖着一个亚腰葫芦形的白 色塔尖，阁内奉有“文昌帝君”，西北角有朝 北角门，砖筑门楼入内便是“马道式”的坡梯 ，踏步而上，既可凭栏赏景，又可拜谒“文昌 ”。
