上海人。中共党员。1983年毕业于复旦大学经济系。1970年赴江西乡村插队务农，后历任浙江冶金工业学校学员，江西九江有色金属冶炼厂会计，复旦大学经济系学生、马列教研室教师，中共上海市委宣传部干部，上海文化年鉴编辑部编辑。1990年加入中国作家协会。
