美国洛克菲勒财团投资建造的大型商业、娱乐和办公建筑群，在纽约曼哈顿岛中部，占地8.9公顷,共有建筑19座，建于1931～1940年。设计单位包括三个建筑师事务所，主要设计人有R.胡德、H.W.科比特、W.K.哈里森等。建筑群的中心是一个下凹的小广场，广场正面有一座金光闪闪的飞翔着的雕像，下面有喷泉水池，浮光耀眼,冬季可作溜冰场。小广场南面是带状街心花园,供人们小憩。在市中心巨厦之间布置这样的环境，既闹中有静，又富有空间构图的变化。
中心的各个建筑物之间都有地下通道连接。建筑群的主体是R.C.A.大厦，70层,高259米。外观强调垂直线条,是板式高层建筑的雏形。此外,还有36层的时代与生活大厦、41层的国际大厦和 6层的车库等。整组建筑群布局紧凑，建筑密集有序。但毕竟过分拥挤，楼厦重叠，既遮挡阳光，也影响建筑艺术效果的发挥。（见彩图）
