【性味】
苦涩，凉。 ①《滇南本草》："性凉，味苦涩。" ②《草木便方》："苦，性微寒。"
【功用主治】
清热，利湿。治腹泻，痢疾，黄疸，瘰疬，遗精，白带，痔疮。 ①《滇南本草》："治遗精，滑精。" ②《草木便方》："利水，清热，消肿，通乳汁。治黄疸，月闭，带下，牙痛，跌伤。" ③《分类草药性》："治瘰疬痒子，泻症，白带。下乳，补虚。" ④《重庆草药》："治湿热痢疾，黄肿，痔疮。"
【用法与用量】
内服：煎汤，1～2两。
【选方】
①治腹泻、红痢：地瓜根、红六合草、臭椿根各二两。煎水内服。 ②治久年不治的水积黄肿病：地瓜根二两，麦斗草二两，佛顶珠二两。炖猪心、肺兑糖服。 ③治内外痔疮：鲜地瓜根一斤，苦参二两，爬墙果二两。炖猪大肠头服。
