生产方法 主要采用缩合法。以硬脂酸和二乙烯三胺为原料，进行缩合反应，然后用醋酸进行中和而得。
用途 阳离子型表面活性剂。主要用作化妆品的乳化剂和柔软剂。由于其具有良好的油溶性，因此可作为油包水型乳化剂，但当有酸性物质时，又可促进水包油型乳化剂的形成。另外，在用于香波类化妆品时，常用乳酸等来调整pH值，使可能出现的游离胺转变为铵盐。
