性质:无色液体。不溶于水,溶于乙醇、乙醚等有机溶剂。沸点197~198.5℃(101.3kPa)。0.824~0.832。1.432~1.436。具有甜的紫罗兰和铃兰花香,味苦。可由芳樟醇经氢化而得。可用于日化香精和食用香精。是四氢铃兰醇(tetrahydromuguol)的组成部分。1,2,3,4-四氢菲啶  l,2,3,4-tetrahydrophenan thridine油状物。沸点不详。其苦味酸盐熔点192~193℃。由反式1,2,3,4,4a,10b-六氢菲啶失去氢得到。用作有机合成试剂。
