性质:又称高桔酸-3,4-二甲基醚。无色针状晶体(由苯重结晶)。熔点118℃。能溶于水、乙醇、乙醚、氯仿、热苯、丙酮,不溶于石油醚。加热变为鸢尾醇。将鸢尾配基与氢氧化钾水溶液共热后,使成酸性即得本品。用作香料原料。其衍生物:甲酯,液体,沸点>360℃;酰胺,无色针状结晶,熔点113℃,能溶于乙醇、丙酮,难溶于苯、乙醚;乙酰化物,熔点125℃;苯甲酰化物,熔点131℃;甲基醚,板状结晶,熔点120℃。
