The results show that:although the composite coating can not prevent the growth of icing,it can lead to a lower icing amount;covered with composite coating,the conductor\'s icing density reduces and the icing\'s pattern transits from glaze to rime;conductor\'s icing growth forms a parabolic relation with wind velocity and an exponential increasing relation with icing time.
