| 黄玉 topaz 成分为Al2〔SiO4〕（F，OH）2的岛状结构硅酸盐矿物。又称黄晶。正交（斜方）晶系，晶体通常为短柱状，柱面上常有纵纹。也可呈不规则的粒状或块状。颜色多样，有的无色透明，大多为浅黄、酒黄、浅蓝、浅绿、浅玫瑰红、褐色等，受日光长久曝晒颜色可逐渐减退。玻璃光泽，底面解理完全，莫氏硬度8，比重3.52～3.57。黄玉是典型的气成热液矿物，在高温并有挥发组分的条件下形成。产于花岗伟晶岩、酸性火山岩的晶洞、云英岩和高温热液钨锡石英脉中。在工业上做研磨材料及精密仪表的轴承。透明色美的则是高档宝石原料。巴西是世界上优质黄玉的产地。俄罗斯乌拉尔和巴基斯坦的卡特朗产出含Cr3+的玫瑰红色黄玉。中国内蒙、江西也有黄玉产出。
