化学致癌作用是一个多步骤过程,至少可分为两期,即始动期(intiation)和促进期(promotion)。始动期是阈下剂量的致癌物一次接触后完成的不可逆过程,而促进期则是始动发生后反复接触致癌剂而继续发展,它在可始阶段是可逆的。
