After the quantitative and qualitative overall researches of errors made by intermediate and advanced-level learners of Chinese from English speaking countries in Chinese discourse coherence, the author finds common errors in such aspects as ellipsis, sentence order, reference, choice of sentence patterns, substitution, lexical reiteration and inappropriate use of connectors.
