茶子(《纲目》)
【异名】茶实(《续名家方选》)。

【来源】为山茶科植物茶的果实。
植物形态详茶叶条。

【化学成分】种子含皂甙,水解得茶皂醇、茶皂醇B、茶皂醇C、茶皂醇D、茶皂醇E、山茶皂甙元B、山茶皂甙元D、小量黄酮类化合物。
子苗含茶氨酸。

【性味】《纲目》:苦,寒,有毒。

【功用主治-茶子的功效】《纲目》:治喘急咳嗽,去痰垢。

【用法与用量】内服:研末作丸。
外用:研末吹鼻。

【选方】①治喘急塞迫欲死者:茶实(生熟者佳)、百合根、矾石各等分。
上三味研匀为丸,梧子大。
每服一钱,空心白汤下。
(《续名家方选》茶实丸)②治喘嗽勾哈,不拘大人小儿:糯米泔少许磨茶子,滴入鼻中,令吸入口服之,口咬竹筒,少顷涎出如线。
(《经验良方》)③治头脑鸣响,状如虫蛀:茶子为末,吹入鼻内,取效。
