教学水平(teaehing level)美国教育心理学家比格(Bigge，M.L.)认为，教与学，可以根据学习者运用思考的程度分成不同的水平。他提出四种水平，即:(l)教学的自主发展水平。(2)教学的记忆水平。(3)教学的说明性理解水平。(4)教学的探究性理解水平。他指出，自主发展水平的教学以人本主义教育心理学和存在主义教育哲学为基础，强调教学应该以学生为中心，重视学生情感的作用，鼓励每个学生凭自己的情感去独立发展，而极度轻视以经验材料为基础的艰苦思考的价值。记忆水平的教学反映了心理训练的学习理论或刺激一反应条件反射的学习理论的观点，它只要求学生熟记所学的具体材料;比较忽视启发学生思考。说明性理解水平的教学和赫尔巴特的统觉说的观点是一致的，它是在教师传授学生接受的情境下，要求学生通过理解教材去掌握知识，这是一种比较富于思考的教学。探究性理解水平的教学倾向于认知一场理论，它是一种以问题为中心的教学，要求学生积极思考和主动解决问题，是最富于思考的教学。 (成立夫撰}亚{国审)
