Based on the analysis of remote sensing images (landsat TM and MSS) of Wuxi in recent 30 years, we found that the landscape of urban-rural transition region was in the form of suburban agriculture before market economy took the dominant position (the mid-1990s of China).
对无锡市30年遥感影像分析表明,20世纪90年代中期之前,无锡市城乡过渡地域用地形态主要以郊区农业形态存在,从1998年以后,郊区农业形态消失。

| 城乡交错带 rural-urban fringe 兼具城市和乡村的土地利用性质的城市与乡村地区的过渡地带。又称城市边缘地区。城乡交错带尤其是指接近城市并具有某些城市化特征的乡村地带。 早期城市与乡村的景观差异明显，随着城市化过程，城市不断向外围扩展，使得毗邻乡村地区的土地利用从农业转变为工业、商业、居住区以及其他职能，并相应兴建了城市服务设施，从而形成包括郊区的城乡交错带。城乡交错带位于市区和城市影响带之间，可分为内边缘区和外边缘区。内边缘区又称城市边缘，特征为已开始城市建设；外边缘区又称乡村边缘，特征为土地利用仍以农业占支配地位，但已可见许多为城市服务的设施，如机场、污水处理厂和特殊用地等。 |
