    (黄栀子、大花栀子)
    形态特征:茜草科栀子属灌木植物,通常高1米以上。叶对生或3叶轮生,叶片革质,通常椭圆状倒卵形或矩圆状倒卵形,长5-14厘米,宽2-7厘米。花大,白色,芳香,单生枝顶。果黄色,卵状至长椭圆状,长2-4厘米,1室。种子很多,嵌在肉质胎座上。
    生境分布:生于山野间,也有庭院栽培。分布于我国南部和中部。越南、日本也有。
    用途:栽培用于庭院,为美化植物。果可作染料,变可作消炎解热药。花可提芳香油。
