| 井冈山 位于中国江西省中部，跨宁冈县、永新县、遂川县3县及湖南酃县境内。属罗霄山脉万洋山北段。海拔336～1841米。外形高大，险峻陡峭，中多盆地。以茨坪为中心，有大井、小井、上井、中井、下井等地。处中亚热带。井冈山生物资源丰富，森林覆盖率73％。其中国家保护的珍稀濒危植物39种，特有植物10种。为省级自然保护区。第二次国内革命战争时期，毛泽东在此创建了全国第一个农村革命根据地，开辟了中国革命以农村包围城市，武装夺取政权的光辉道路。有革命摇篮之称。有毛泽东旧居和革命纪念地多处，并建有革命博物馆、会师纪念碑、革命烈士纪念塔、烈士墓等。井冈山革命遗址为中国全国重点文物保护单位。
