    聚酯树脂通常由二元醇、三元醇和二元酸等混合物通过缩聚反应制得,-般是低分十量、无定形、含有支链可交联的聚合物,通过配方的调整,如多元醇过量,可得羟基终止的聚酯,也可用多元酸过量而得羧基终止的聚酯.羟基终止的聚酯作为多羟基聚合物,-般用氨基树脂和多异氰酸脂进行交联,羧基终止聚酯可用环氧化合物和氨基树脂交联.羟基终止的聚酯和氨基树脂配合所得的烘漆是热固型涂料的重要品种,羧基终止的聚酯和环氧树脂配合主要用于粉末涂料.
    聚酯-氨基树脂所得烘漆,一般来说,较醇酸树脂有更好的室外稳定性和保光性,有较高的硬度、相当好的弹性与附着力,它可用于卷钢涂料,汽车漆和其它工业用漆.聚酯所以能赋予涂料有较好的性能,是和其组成密切相关的,组成不合适便不能有上述特点.另一方面,聚酯烘漆的表面张力较高,涂布时易出现弊病.
