In this paper, the historical source, production techniques, drinking custom and cultural background of Zajiu Liquor were introduced.

On the basis of an in-depth fieldwork and the analysis of information,the author of this paper,in four aspects--water in the mythology,the knowledge of water\'s importance,water-worship in faith and the habits of using water in feast day,has made a full research on Xishuangbanna Dai people\'s water-religion,water-worship and water-lore.

The former includes prickly ash,fragrant thoroughwort,lily magnolia,wild ginger,galangal,ginger and so on,and the latter fragrant box,fragrant pillow,sachet and censer(with a bamboo cover),which,in general,represent the general picture of the aristocracy\'s customs of using spice in the Early Han Dynasty in the aspect of material.
