性质:当有机物在直接电合成时速率太慢,电流效率及/或产率较低时,可选取某些氧化还原对作为“媒质”(如:Mn3+、Mn2+、Co3+、Co2+、BrO3-、Br2等),先使有机物氧化或还原,然后再在电极表面再生。上述过程不断重复,称为间接电有机合成。它既提高了经济效益,又减少了污染,大大推进了有机电合成的发展。间接电有机合成分为“槽外式”和“槽内式”两种,前者的媒质再生过程在电解槽内进行,媒质与有机物的反应在另外的化学反应器内进行。后者则两者在同一电解槽内进行。这只限于有机物对电极无不良影响的情况。在槽外式方法中,如所用媒质的量较多,不能完全溶解时,可制成悬浮态使用,称为泥浆法(slurry method),是间接有机电合成的一个重要发展方向。
